Introduction

The Sadhana Early Intervention Centre (EIC) is a state-of-the-art facility proposed by the Sadhana Society for the Intellectually Challenged. Building upon Sadhana’s 27 years of dedicated service, the EIC is designed to serve children in the critical developmental age bracket of 0–6 years.

The center is located at the Sadhana Nacharam campus in Hyderabad. A dedicated 5,000 sq. ft. Skill Development & Early Intervention Center building was constructed in 2024 with generous support from the Sapthaparni Foundation.

The EIC addresses the urgent need for structured, accessible, and affordable therapy and developmental support in urban and semi-urban areas of Telangana, including underserved neighborhoods in Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. The project is projected to serve approximately 60 children annually.

Our Vision and Goals

The EIC’s foundation is built on the understanding that 90% of brain development occurs by the age of six. Early identification and timely intervention are crucial for children showing signs of developmental delays, such as those related to speech delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, and global developmental delays.

The overarching goal of the Early Intervention Centre is to identify and address developmental delays at the earliest possible stage, enabling each child to reach their full potential.

1. Deliver Timely, Multi-disciplinary Interventions: To ensure early identification and provide comprehensive therapeutic services to enhance the functional abilities of children during their critical growth years.
2. Implement Individualized, Child-Centric Educational Programs: To design and deliver specialized learning interventions tailored to each child’s unique developmental profile, fostering cognitive, communication, motor, and social skill development.
3. Promote Holistic Growth in an Inclusive and Nurturing Environment: To create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting that supports the overall well-being of children while empowering families to actively participate in their child’s developmental journey.
4. Strengthen Family and Community Partnerships: To collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and community stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and facilitate the smooth integration of children into mainstream educational, social, and community settings.

Core Activities and Specialized Services

The Sadhana Early Intervention Centre implements a comprehensive, child-centered program grounded in a multi-disciplinary approach.

1. Developmental Screening and Planning

Systematic assessments are conducted by a multidisciplinary team to identify developmental delays. Based on the findings, Individualized Intervention Plans (IIPs) are designed to address specific cognitive, motor, speech, and behavioral needs.
